Rod was born in Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland and is mad Dunfermline Athletic fan.  He started out as a famous Butlin's Redcoat and has  had stints as a broadcaster, singer, stand up comedian and actor.  He has published three books what are we going to do now daddy, bow tie man and The Elephant who wanted to dance. He lives in Gloucester with his three young children who gave him the inspiration to write and illustrate books.
